Marble Runs

These are some of our marble runs.  We made them out of cardboard boxes, toilet paper rolls, plastic containers and masking tape.  We had to cut and stick to make our marble runs work.  Our marble runs had to start from a tall spot so the marble could run down.  We liked making the chutes where the marbles went fast.  We painted our marble runs last of all and got to show them at assembly.

Welcome back to Term 4

Here are some of the Room One and Two children enjoying our milk, we think it is pretty delicious.  Some of us are becoming experts at folding our milk cartons too.

Sports Wrap

Last term we were lucky enough to do some Rugby skills training with one of the Makos.  It was really fun and we especially liked when we got to kick the ball off the stand.

 We also had our school cross country.  Our class did really well, Miss Charmley was really proud of our efforts.

Pets Parade

We had a pets parade on Thursday.  It was really fun, we got to bring in our favourite pets.  Here are some of them.

Probability

We have been thinking about probability today.  Miss Charmley read us a story and then we had to decide if a character in the story would see our pictures, might see our pictures or wouldn't see our pictures.  Miss Charmley thinks we are experts at this.

Printing

We have been learning about the q sound today.  Ngawai has done some beautiful q printing.

Probability

We have been learning about probability.  Miss Charmley read us a story 'The Gruffalo''.  We then had to decide if the Gruffalo would have seen, might have seen, or wouldn't have seen all the things in our pictures, when he was going through the woods.  The pictures on blue card are all the things the Gruffalo would have seen.  The pictures on the black card are all the things the Gruffalo might have seen.  The pictues on the pink card are all the things the Gruffalo wouldn't see.  We had to give good reasons why each picture belonged in it's space.  Do you agree with our choices?
